There is a special slot for the probe wire to go on the cooking chamber barrel known as the probe entrance hole. Where will I find this?

So the meat probe plugs into the outside of the unit?. The meat is on the inside of the unit. How the hell do I get these two attached? There is no slot. There is no internal connector. Do I just shut the door on the cable?
